My interest in becoming a RMT stemmed from personally benefiting from massage therapy. Massage helped me as I trained for a half marathon and overcame an MVA injury. Such experiences motivated me to learn how I could help others prevent and recover from injuries and meet their personal goals.

I believe that the body has an inherent ability to heal itself. My goal is to determine the underlying issue through clinical assessment and to make corrections through clinical treatment and home care such as strengthening exercise, stretch and hydrotherapy.

I work with each patient, creating an individualized treatment plan, and view the recovery process as a team effort. I believe effective massage therapy can provide lasting change for a healthier you. I work with your individual needs and goals so you can be at your best!

Originally from Markham Ontario, Kennedy Yarde is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner with a passion for holistic treatment and the ability to facilitate the body’s self healing and self regulating mechanisms. Osteopathy utilizes a wide-variety of therapeutic manual techniques dictated by a practitioner’s understanding of osteopathic principles and the structural individuality of each client. Through manual manipulation, osteopathic practitioners are able to influence all areas of the body in order to optimize the body’s inherent ability to self-heal. Osteopathic manipulative treatment is used as a means of facilitating these normal mechanisms by addressing areas of tissue strain, stress or dysfunction that may impede normal neural, vascular, or lymphatic flow. This frees all systems of the body from obstruction reducing symptoms, increasing energy, and leading to overall improved health.

Kennedy grew up dancing competitively for 19 years and was surrounded by health and manual therapy for much of her adolescence. She was able to witness first-hand the benefits osteopathic treatment could have on athletes and individuals struggling with a variety of aches and discomforts. Her passion for health ultimately lead her to pursue an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from Western University in London, Ontario. Following this, she strived to continue her knowledge of anatomy and physiology and went on to complete a Master in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton, Ontario. While at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, Kennedy completed 4200 hours of training including 1000 supervised clinical hours. As a regionally recognized senior therapist in New Zealand, I split my time between a boxing gym, and an all-boys high school, working primarily with high level and nationally recognized athletes.

I was born and raised in rural Manitoba. My rural upbringing instilled a deep love of nature, wildlife, and the great outdoors – and it continues to shape who I am today. When I’m not working or weight training, I enjoy camping, hiking, biking, and playing any individual/team sport there is.

As your physiotherapist, I will actively listen and allow you to be an active member in your rehabilitation process, whether that means providing space for you to voice your concerns or making sure you’re comfortable enough to ask questions. I’m not here to tell you what you have to do; I’m here to provide options and guidance for your treatment. This is your rehabilitation. Together, we can move towards progress and get you back to the things you love.
